Butterfinger- Robin Fingers UI Panels

Back in June 2022, I worked on the UI design for a Butterfinger, ‘Investigators’ spot featuring a maniacal hacker, Robin Fingers. Using mostly 2D elements in After Effects, I created quite a few UI panels to appear behind the hacker, using the classic yellow synonymous with the brand, bringing the green-screened hacker into a hacker lair.

Overall, the work was quite fun and the campaign was a huge success. It was so great to see the ad displayed on Subway screens and charging stations throughout New York City and elsewhere. When it comes to UI design for comedy, it’s important to carry an air of whimsy and poke fun. And in all of life, it’s always important to keep an eye on your Butterfinger.
