Google Pixel 9 with…

Working on the launch videos for the Google Pixel 9, Google Creative Labs decided to take a phone-first approach for the ads. With the UI front and center, myself and a team of three other animators got to work and animated the UI’s using a Figma the design team gave us.
Working with the creative and art directors for the ads, we landed on animations that mimicked the actual UI of the phone, but were often shortcuts and a bit more personality was allowed to shine through.
Lastly, after picture locking the UI’s, I was tasked with translating the UI to several languages and localizations. All in all, the process was a lot of fun, involved heavy collaboration, and Flow in After Effects became our best friends, saving all of our favorite eases to iterate in to other spots.
Above are just a few of the ads, for a full look at all of the ads you can follow this link here.
